13. Connecting peripheral equipment

Video recorder

 

 

A video recorder can be connected to the TV set via the aerial socket or via one of the EURO sockets.

We recommend connecting the video recorder via a EURO (Scart) socket, since only these sockets have separate inputs and out- puts for the video and audio signals.

A VHS video recorder can be connected to the EURO2 or EURO3 sockets. An S-VHS/Hi8 video recorder must be connected to the EURO socket 2 if you wish to take advantage of the full picture quality provided by such a recorder (see the table on page 45). A second S-VHS/Hi8 video recorder can be connected to EURO socket 1 to play back films recorded on the S-VHS/Hi8 video recorder connected to

the EURO socket 2.
