PV- 1800: Power supply module with GSM MODEM

Digital inputs (CN 1)

The PV1800 has 8 isolated digital inputs connected to a 10-pin box header (CN1). All the inputs have ac-couplers with a common ground reference. Because of the ac-couplers, the inputs can be activated with positive as well as negative input voltages. The table shows the connector layout:

Counter inputs

The PV-1800 has a 16-bit counter. Besides acting as normal digital inputs, input #0 and #1 can also be used as counter inputs.

Input #0: counter input for the 16-bit counter.

Input #0 together with input #1: counter inputs for a 16-bit quadrature counter. The counter function can be software programmed to be in one of four modes.

The counter modes are shown here:

Mode Function

0Disabled

1Increment on rising edges on DI #0

2Increment on falling edges on DI #0

3DI #0 and DI #1 act as a quadrature counter
