BASS AND TREBLE

These controls increase or decrease the bass and treble tones and should be set in accordance with listening preference, and room acoustics.

TUNING

This control allows selection of stations on either the AM or FM band. After desired station is found and heard, look at tuning meter and adjust for maximum deflection (meter hand to the Right). This tuning position will provide best separation on FM stereo and minimum noise on MONO FM and AM reception.

PHONO INPUT

A stereo record changer with a high level cartridge (ceramic or crystal) may be plugged into these jacks.

TAPE INPUT

A tape deck with playback preamps may be plugged into these jacks.

REC OUT

These jacks should be connected to the input jacks of your tape recorder. This connection will allow you to make recordings of the program source your system is reproducing. The output level at these jacks is unaffected by the front settings.

HEADPHONE JACK

When stereo headphones are connected to this jack, the speakers are automatically shut off. The operation is the same as outlined previously.

ANTENNA TERMINALS

The set comes equipped with built-in antenna for AM and an external "single wire" type for FM. FM "single wire" should be unwrapped and extended to full length and located to give best reception. These antennas will be suitable for normal metropolitan use. For more distant stations external antennas may be used.

To connect an external antenna for improved FM reception, disconnect the wire that is presently connected and connect the wires from external antenna.
