•Over extended periods of time, batteries gradually wear down and require longer charging times. This is normal. If you charge your battery regularly and notice a decrease in talk time or an increase in charging time, then it is probably time to purchase a new battery.

The rechargeable batteries that power this

product must be disposed of properly and may need to be recycled. Refer to your battery’s label

for battery type. Contact your local recycling center for proper disposal methods. Never dispose of batteries in a fire because they may explode.

• Avoid keypad-intense functions

Activities that require intensive keystroke use (such as playing a game or using messaging) reduce your phone’s talk and standby time. Lock the keypad when storing the phone in your purse or pocket to avoid unnecessary keypad and backlight activations. See page 135.
