Battery Tips
Your phone is like a small computer, giving you access
to a lot of information and apps. Depending on what
you use, that can take a lot of power.
To conserve battery life between charges:
䢇Reduce recording or watching videos, listening to
music, or taking pictures.
䢇Disable or remove widgets that stream information to
your home screen, such as news or weather. (See
“Home Screen” on page 16.)
䢇Reduce email updates: select > Email >
Menu h > Account settings > Email check frequency
and select a less frequent option (or Manual).
䢇Turn off Bluetooth power: select >
Settings > Wireless & networks >Bluetooth.
䢇Reduce display brightness: select > Settings >
Sound & display > Brightness > (dimmer setting).
䢇Decrease display timeout delay: select >
Settings > Sound & display > BackLight timer >
(shorter setting).
Battery Cool DownIn very limited circumstances, such as where your
phone has been exposed to extreme heat, “Cool
Down” message screens will appear. To avoid possible
damage to your battery and phone, you should follow
these instructions until the phone is within its
recommended temperature range. When your phone is
in “Cool Down” mode, only emergency calls can be
made.
Dual Microphone Noise CancellationDual microphone noise cancellation
improves call audio quality by
removing the ambient noise around
you, and providing a cleaner, clearer
sound to the person you are calling.
To turn off dual microphone noise cancellation, select
> Settings > Call settings > Noise Cancellation.
Note: Dual microphone noise cancellation is turned on by
default.
