This handset complies with environmental energy consumption requirements by notifying the user to unplug the charger from the power outlet when the charger is disconnected from phone/power outlet. This notice can be dismissed permanently by pressing - under No.

turn it on & off

To turn on your phone, press and hold . for a few seconds or until the display turns on. If prompted, enter your four-digit unlock code.

To turn off your phone, press and hold . for two seconds.

Note: If you press the . for more than four seconds, the handset will power “On” in Transmitters Off mode. To avoid turning on the phone with transmitters off, ensure the power key is not held at about 4 seconds after power-up is initiated, either by pressing the power key or plugging a cable into the USB port. To power up the phone normally from charging mode, wait until the Charger Attached screen is displayed, and then press the power key. See “transmitters” on page 71.

enable security

You must enable security the first time you power on you phone or within 10 days of first activation of your phone.
