Turning On Weather Channel Reception

To turn on weather channel reception, press and hold Ro. To turn it off and return to two-way mode, press and hold Ro again.

Setting the Weather Channel

Your radio receives seven frequencies. See the Frequency and Code Charts beginning on page 46 for a complete list.

After turning on the weather broadcast, press \ to start the channel display blinking. Press [ or ] to select the strongest

channel.

As with two-way radio reception, weather channel reception depends on how close you are to a transmitter and whether you are indoors or outdoors. Also, because weather channels are transmitted without codes, they may contain static or noise.
