The following indicators identify Numeric or Symbol entry method:

tap method

This is the standard method for entering text.

Tip: Press Sright to accept a word completion, or #to insert a space.

In a text entry screen, you can press *to switch entry methods. If Tap or Tap Extended is not available as the Primary or Secondary entry method, see page 42.

When you enter three or more characters in a row, your phone may guess the rest of the word. For example, if you enter prog you might see:

Regular Tap method cycles through the letters and numbers of the key you press. Tap Extended method also cycles through additional symbols.
