When you enter three or more characters in a row, your phone may guess the rest of the word. For example, if you enter prog, you might see:

The first character of every sentence is capitalized. If necessary, press Sdown to change the character to lowercase before the cursor moves to the next position.

If you don’t want to save your text or text edits, press Oto exit without saving.

iTAPTM method

The iTAP software combines your key presses into common words, and predicts each word as you enter it. This can be faster than Tap method because your phone combines the key presses into common words. If iTAP method is not available as the Primary or Secondary entry mode, see page 21.

Press Sright to accept a word, Sup or down to reject a word, or #to insert a space. If you want a different word, continue pressing keys to enter the remaining characters.

Press Sleft or right to move the flashing cursor left or right in a text message.

1Press keypad keys to show possible letter combinations at the bottom of the screen.

2Scroll left or right to highlight a combination.

3Press Select to lock a highlighted combination.
