Display Icons

The seven-segment display shows radio channel and status. The following are the icons that appear on the radio’s display.

Private Call

Indicates a Private Call in progress.

Talkaround

In the absence of a repeater, radio is currently configured for direct radio to radio communication.

Scan

Scan feature is activated.

LED Indicators

LED indicators show the operational status of your radio.

Blinking red Radio is

Red

 

 

receiving an emergency

Yellow

 

transmission or has failed the

 

 

self-test upon powering up.

 

 

Solid yellow Radio is

Green

monitoring a channel.

 

 

Blinking yellow Radio is

 

 

scanning for activity or receiving

 

 

a Call Alert.

 

 

Solid green Radio is transmitting.

Blinking green Radio is powering up, receiving a non- privacy-enabled call or data, or detecting activity over the air.

Rapidly blinking green Radio is receiving a privacy-enabled call or data.

NOTE: When the green LED blinks, it indicates the radio detects activity over the air. Due to the nature of the digital protocol, this activity may or may not affect the radio's programmed channel.
