Press #in a text entry screen until you see Ã. The display shows the symbol associated with each keypad key. Press Sup/down repeatedly to see different symbols. To insert a symbol, press its key, or scroll to it and press the center key s.

Press the volume keys to:

•turn off an incoming call alert

•change the earpiece volume during calls with the slider open

•change the ringer volume from the main screen (with slider open)

Tip: Sometimes silence really is golden. That’s why you can quickly set your ringer to Ring Only,

Vibrate Only, Silent, Ring and Vibrate, or Vibrate then Ring, by

holding the down volume key while in the main screen.

To turn on the handsfree speaker:

•After you dial a number and press the Send key N, but before the call connects, press

Speaker.

•During an active call, press Options and select

Speaker On.

While the handsfree speaker is on, your display shows the speakerphone indicator.
