Before getting started

Before using your VPort 2140, pay attention to the following items.

After opening the VPort 2140 box, compare the contents of the box with the Package Checklist in Chapter 1. Notify your sales representative if any of the items is missing or damaged.

To prevent damage or problems caused by unproper usage, read the Qucik Installation Guide (printed handbook in the package) or Chapter 1, Introduction, under Product Description, and Chapter 2, Getting Started, before assembling and operating the device and peripherals.

If you experience a system error, and the system does not recover easily, refer to the Troubleshooting section in Chapter 7 to learn how to restore factory default settings and reinstall the system.

VPort 2140 Video Server has been designed for various environments and can be used to build various applications for general security or demonstration purposes.
