9.When the tea has drained, turn the steeping dial to the closed position to prevent any after drip. Slide the pitcher away from the machine and you are ready to serve refreshingly cold iced tea.

(The

Instead

of

It is

necessary

to steep

coffee!

CAUTION: Decaffeinated coffee, particularly when used with chemically softened water, can cause slower filtration. The steeping dial must be left in the “open” position or the unit may overflow.

Problem Solving

The tea is too weak:

- add more tea.

- herbal tea does not brew as strong, you may need to use more tea.

-after the machine shuts off, wait for a few minutes before draining the remaining tea into the pitcher.

-check to make sure the steeping dial is in the closed position during brewing so that the tea steeps.

The tea is too strong:

-use less tea.

-the

tea may

be steeping

too long. Be sure to drain the remaining tea in

the

steeping

basket

by

turning the steeping dial to “open” as soon as

the

machine

shuts

off.

I do not have enough ice:

- use cold tap water as a substitute. See Helpful Hint #2 on page 6.
