Trouble Shooting

Cause

Problem Remedy

Engine fails to start 1. Blad e control disengaged.
2. Spar k plug wire disconnected.
3. Fuel tank e mpty or stale fuel.
4. Engin e not primed.
5. Fault y spark plug.
6. Blo cked fuel line.
7. Engin e flooded.
1. Engag e blade control.
2. Con nect wire to spark plug.
3. Fill t ank with clean, fresh gasoline.
4. Prime en gine as instructed in “Operat-
ing Your Lawn Mower”.
5. Clean , adjust gap, or replace.
6. Clean f uel line.
7. Wait a few minu tes to restart, but do
not prime.
Engine runs erratic 1. Conn ect and tighten spark plug wire.
2. Clea n fuel line; fill tank with clean,
fresh gasoline.
3. Clear vent .
4. Drai n fuel tank. Refill with fresh fuel.
