Never operate mower

unless the hooks on

the grass catcher are

firmly seated in the

slots on the handle

bracket assemblies,

and the rear dis-

charge door rests

firmly against top of

the grass catcher.

5. An adjusting plate and thumb lever at each wheel

position provides cutting height adjustment.

a. Depress lever towards wheel.

b. Move it to any of the nine posit ions for desired

cutting height. See Step 5.

c. Release lever towards mower deck.

6. Follow steps below to assemble the grass catcher:

a. Place bag over frame so that its blac k plastic side

is at the bottom.

b. Slip plast ic channel of grass bag over hooks on the

frame. See Step 6. All the plastic channels except

center top of bag attach from outside of bag.

c. Attach center top of bag from inside of bag.

7. Follow steps below to attach grass catcher:

a. Lift rear di scharge door.

b. Place grass c atcher on the pivot rod. Let go

of discharge door so that it rests on the grass

catcher. See Step 7.

To remove grass catcher or convert to a mulcher (if

equipped), lift rear discharge door on th e mower as

shown in Step 8. Lift grass catcher up and out of the pivot

rod. Release rear discharge door to allow it to close rear

opening of mower.
