Adjusting Handle Height

CAUTION :

DO NOT attempt to operate thecompactor until the Safety, General Information and Inspection sections of this manual have been read and thoroughly understood.

This section is intended to assist the operator with the initial start-upof the compactor. It is extremely important that this section be read carefully before attempting to use the compactor in the field.

Refer to Figures 3 and 4 for the location of controls and components.

Adjusting Handle Height

The heigh of the handle is adjustable for your comfort .

1.Loosen the butterfly screw (Figure 8).

2.Turn the grip clockwise to raise the handle or counterclock- wise to lower the handle.

3.When the handle is raised to the desired height, tighten the butterflyscrew.

3.Place the choke lever (Figure 11) in the "OPEN " position if starting a cold engine.

4.Placethechoke lever(Figure12)in the"CLOSED"position if starting a warm engine or the temperature is warm.

Starting the Engine (HONDA engine)

1.Place the engine fuel valve lever (Figure 9) to the "ON" position.

2.Move the throttle lever to the STARTposition by opening it to about 20 degrees (Figure 10).
