
6.12 USING F-CODE FEATURES
Polling a document with a subaddress and password 1 Switch to the Fax mode by pressing COPY
FAX
SCAN.
2 Press ADVANCED FUNCTIONS until “F-Code Polling” appears on the LCD then press
ENTER.

Press the soft key which assigned “F-Code Polling”.
Enter Sub-Address

3 Use the numeric keys to enter the appropriate ITU-T subaddress.
Then press ENTER.
Enter Password
_
The password setting is optional, but required if the other party has set a password on
their F-code box.
4 Use the numeric keys to enter the ITU-T password.
Then press ENTER.
If you do not need to enter ITU-T password, press ENTER without entering any number.
Enter Fax Number
_
5 Enter the fax number.
You may use a one-touch key, speed-dial number or the numeric keys to enter the fax
number.
6 Press START.

Your machine dials the number and polling the document from the remote F-code
compatible machine.
To cancel the polling in progress, press FAX CANCEL and CANCEL, CANCEL.
To cancel the delayed polling, press FAX CANCEL, search the command number you want
to cancel using the cursor key, then press CANCEL, CANCEL. (See also “Reviewing or
canceling command,” on page 4.8.)
