Specifications are measured in accordance with EIA Standard RS-490 (IHF A-202) for amplifiers. Amplifier measurements referenced to 8Ω are taken with the Impedance Select set at 8Ω (High). Measurements for 4Ω and 2Ω are taken with the Impendance Select set at 4Ω (Normal). Dimensions are of unit’s cabinets without attached feet; add up to 18mm for total height. Dimension depth excludes terminals, sockets, controls and buttons.

NAD IPD-1 Dock for iPod®

The NAD IPD-1 Dock is an easy and convenient way to enjoy all the music and videos on your iPod® at home, with NAD quality. The NAD IPD-1 Dock sends stereo audio signals via its gold plated RCA jacks to your NAD system for playback over speakers with full quality; it also directs the video from an iPod to your NAD AV receiver or directly to the TV. Just pop the iPod into the IPD-1 (it also charges the iPod battery), and you get NAD-quality playback and the convenience of controlling your iPod music library using your TV (for display of your iPod’s music menus) from your NAD remote control.

NAD DB-1 DAB Module

Digital Audio Broadcasting offers no-charge, digital-quality programming to numerous regions around the world. The NAD DB-1 compact module is a simple, one-cable plug-and-play add-on that introduces digital broadcasting, thoroughly integrated, into your NAD AV receiver or preamp’s source-list. And since the best of DAB broadcasts can approach CD quality, it’s good to know that the DB-1 is engineered to the same high standards as NAD’s award-winning compact disc designs.

NAD PP-3 Digital Phono Preamplifier

LP records may be an older technology, but they are far from dead. The NAD PP-3 phono preamplifier can turn any line-level input (AUX, TAPE, etc.) into a very high performance phonograph input. The audiophile-grade designed PP-3 is compatible with both conventional MM phono cartridges and with high-end moving-coil designs. The PP-3 also incorporates a similarly high quality analogue/digital converter, output via a USB port. Connect this to a computer or other digital-recording device, and you can easily archive your precious LP collection to compact disc, MP3 files, or whatever digital format you choose.

NAD Learning Remote Controls

The ergonomic HTR-M and HTR-3 universal learning remote controls are an engineering tour-de-force. Both are able to control up to 8 different components with illuminated buttons for easy operation in low light environments. The HTR-M features an illuminated LCD screen that clearly shows what device is selected and what command is being sent. Its macro function allows as many as 64 individual commands to be triggered by pressing just two keys so all of the commands required for watching a DVD, for example, can be executed automatically. Either remote control can even be programmed using a PC, thanks to their built-in serial data connections.

3020 specifications

The NAD 3020 is a classic integrated amplifier that has gained a legendary status among audiophiles since its launch in 1978. Known for its incredible sound quality and value for money, the NAD 3020 has become a reference point in the realm of affordable audio equipment.

One of the main features of the NAD 3020 is its high current design, allowing it to drive a wide range of speaker impedances. This capability ensures that the amplifier can deliver a dynamic sound, characterized by a robust bass response and clear treble. With a power output of 20 watts per channel into 8 ohms, the NAD 3020 is often underestimated due to its modest specifications. However, it can produce remarkable sound pressure levels and handle transient peaks with ease.

The amplifier utilizes a simplified circuit design, which is one of its defining characteristics. This minimalist approach reduces potential signal distortion, enabling the amplifier to maintain sonic integrity. The use of discrete components rather than integrated circuits contributes to its rich, detailed audio reproduction, making it a favorite among purists.

Another key technology featured in the NAD 3020 is its unique power supply design. NAD engineers incorporated a toroidal transformer, which is known for its compact size and low electromagnetic interference. This results in cleaner power delivery, which is essential for maintaining audio clarity and depth.

The NAD 3020 is also equipped with multiple inputs, including phono, line-level, and tape inputs, making it versatile for various audio sources. The built-in phono stage supports moving magnet cartridges, allowing vinyl enthusiasts to connect their turntables directly to the amplifier without needing a separate phono preamplifier.

In terms of build quality, the NAD 3020 features a sturdy chassis that minimizes vibrations, ensuring that audio performance remains stable. The user-friendly design includes a straightforward control layout, allowing users to adjust volume and tone settings with ease.

Throughout its decades-long legacy, the NAD 3020 has influenced countless audio products and remains a benchmark for entry-level amplification. Its combination of power, clarity, and affordability makes it a beloved choice for both new listeners and seasoned audiophiles seeking a dependable amplifier that doesn't compromise on sound quality. The NAD 3020 exemplifies how great engineering can lead to remarkable audio experiences, solidifying its place in the history of hi-fi audio.
