Glossary

ADE Application development environment such as LabVIEW, Visual Basic, or

MSVC.

bandwidth The range of frequencies present in a signal, or the range of frequencies to

which a measuring device can respond.

current The rate of flow of electric charge measured in amperes

D-SUB A serial connector.

DCAM Digital camera.

deployment machine Machine used to run the software in its final state. this machine typically

runs the software without an ADE in the form of an executable.

development machine Machine used to develop an application. A development machine usually

has and ADE installed on it.

exposure The amount of time that light reaches the image sensor.
