12.Carefully nudge the telescope in horizontal motion using only one finger while observing the movement of Polaris through the eyepiece
13.Next step is to adjust the adjustment screws on the mounting plate according to your finding from step 12. If Polaris moves toward the center when the telescope is nudged toward your right hand side, You will need to loosen the adjustment screws near the front of the tube and tighten the ones closer to the back of the tube

14.Repeat step 7 to 13 until Polaris remains in the center of the eyepiece, or moves slightly around the center, when the mount is rotate about the R.A. axis.
This calibration method can be applied on both refracting and reflecting telescopes. Optical path of different telescope designs does not affect how the telescope tube and tube lings should be adjusted on the mounting plate.
