PTT — Nextel Walkie-Talkie Settings

You can set PTT settings to control how your Smartphone handles Walkie-Talkie calls and Talkgroup calls.

Mute Walkie-Talkie calls and Talkgroup calls

1On the Home screen, select Start.

2Select Settings and then PTT.

3Select PTT Group Silent.

4In PTT Group Silent, select On.

5Select Done. Your Smartphone will not alert you to Walkie-Talkie calls or Talkgroup calls.

Define your Talkgroup calling area

1On the Home screen, select Start.

2Select Settings and then PTT.

3Select PTT Group Area.

4In PTT Group Area, select the option you want.

5Select Done.

Add a new Talkgroup calling area

1On the Home screen, select Start.

2Select Settings and then PTT.

3Select PTT Group Area.

4Select Menu and then New Area.

5Enter a name for the area.

6Enter a number for the area.

7Select Done.

Edit a Talkgroup calling area

1On the Home screen, select Start.

2Select Settings and then PTT.

3Select PTT Group Area.

4Select the area you want.

5Select Menu and then Edit.

6Make the necessary edits.

7Select Done.

Delete a Talkgroup calling area

1On the Home screen, select Start.

2Select Settings and then PTT.

3Select PTT Group Area.

4Select the area you want.

5Select Menu and then Delete.

6Select OK.
