Total Megapixels

Not all pixels record a part of the image. Some are purposely masked off to receive no light, producing a baseline value from which to calibrate light received by the effective pixels. Pictmotion

Time-lapse Movie

Time-lapse Movie mode creates movies out of images taken using the Time-lapse feature, which enables users to specify the interval between shots. Ideal for capturing action taking place over longer durations, it can be used to produce movies of flowers blooming, or clouds rushing across the sky, for example.

TV/Small Size Movie

TV movie mode records VGA-size images (640 x 480 pixels) that fit perfectly on a TV screen. Small movie produces QVGA-size movies (320 x 240 pixels).

Best Shot Selector (BSS)

Best Shot Selector automatically selects the shot with the sharpest focus from a series of consecutive images.

Scene modes with Scene assist

Scene assist helps you take better pictures when using Portrait, Landscape, Sports and Night Landscape Scene modes — helping you compose your pictures with useful framing guides displayed in the monitor.

Voice Recording

The handy Voice Recording function can be used to record literally hours of sound when used with sufficient memory media.
