8. Exponeringsfaktor

En lins f-nummer indikerar ljusstyrkan för bilden som skapas av linsen när den är inställd på “oändligt” fotoavstånd. Ju högre reproduktionsratio, desto mindre kommer ljusstyrkan att vara för bilden. Den aktuella ljusstyrkan för bilden kallas för “effektivt f-nummer” och kompensationsvärdet för exponering för ändring av effektivt f-nummer kallas ”exponeringsfaktor”.

9. Effektiv f-nummervariation (s. 146)

För denna lins, ju högre reproduktionsration är, ju mer kommer ljusstyrkan för bilden på filmen (bildsensorn) att minska och det effektiva f-numret kommer att öka (mängden ljus som kommer genom linsens bländare kommer att minska). Denna variation kompenseras automatiskt av kamerans exponeringsmätare, så användaren kan avgöra exponering eller använda TTL-blixt utan att behöva ta hänsyn till exponeringsfaktorn. Se kamerans LCD-skärm eller i sökaren, är det värde som automatiskt kompenseras.

10. Bländarinställning

Ställ in bländaren på kamerahuset. När exponeringsläget (eller fotograferingsläget) är inställt på “A” (automatisk bländarprioritet) eller “M” (manuell), kommer kameran att bibehålla förhandsinställt f-nummer (upp till cirka 1,6 ”stops”) eftersom det effektiva f-numret varierar med fotograferingsavstånd.
