You can set the flash mode to match the shooting conditions.

If a setting is not applied by pressing the kbutton within a few seconds, the selection will be canceled.

When U (auto) is applied, Dis only displayed for a few seconds, regardless of the setting in Monitor settings (A94).

The flash lamp indicates the status of the flash when you press the shutter-release button halfway.

- On: The flash will fire when you press the shutter-release button all the way down.

-Flashing: The flash is charging. The camera cannot take pictures.

-Off: The flash will not fire when a picture is taken.

If the battery is low, the monitor will turn off in order to save power while the flash is charging.

When ISO sensitivity is set to Auto, the flash has a range of 0.5 to 5.6 m (1 ft 8 in. to 18 ft) at the maximum wide-angle zoom position and a range of 1.0 to 3.1 m (3 ft 4 in. to 10 ft) at the maximum
