PIN codes

The personal identification number (PIN) code and the universal personal identification number (UPIN) code (4 to 8 digits) help to protect your SIM card against unauthorized use. See Security p. 50.

The PIN2 code (4 to 8 digits) may be supplied with the SIM card and is required for some functions.

The module PIN is required to access the information in the securi y module. See Security module p. 72.

The signing PIN is required for the digital signature. See Digital signa ure p. 72.

PUK codes

The personal unblocking key (PUK) code and the unive s l pe son l unblocking

key (UPUK) code (8 digits) is required to change blocked PIN code

or international calls, press * twice for the international prefix (the + character replaces the international access code), enter the country code, the area code without the leading 0, if necessary, and the phone number.

2.To call the number, press the call key.

To increase the volume in a call, press the volume up key and to decrease press the volume down key.
