Configuration settings service
In order to use multimedia and instant messaging, and other wireless services, you
need to have the proper configuration settings on your phone. You may receive
the settings directly as a configuration message, and you need to save the settings
on your phone. For more information on the availability of the settings, contact
your network operator, service provider or nearest authorised Nokia dealer.
You may receive the configuration settings for multimedia messages, instant
messaging and presence, push to talk, e-mail application, synchronisation,
streaming, and for the browser.
When you have received the settings as a configuration message, and the settings
are not automatically saved and activated, Configuration sett. received is
displayed.
To view the received settings, press Show.
To save the settings, press Save. If the phone requests Enter settings’ PIN:, key
in the PIN code for the settings, and press OK. To receive the PIN code, contact
the service provider that supplies the settings.
If no settings are saved yet, these settings are saved and set as default
configuration settings. Otherwise, the phone asks Set as default settings?.
To discard the received settings, press Discard.
