Continuous Forms:

Setting Forms Tear-Off and Top of Form

The Forms Tear-Off feature automatically advances continuous forms paper to the tear-off position after printing stops.

Top of Form (TOF) is the place on the sheet where the first line of printing begins.

Forms Tear-Off and Top of Form interact. How you go about setting the TOF depends on whether or not Forms Tear-Off is engaged (the default is Forms Tear-Off disengaged—OFF).

Important!

Do not turn the platen knob (on the right hand side of the printer). Doing this will always change the TOF setting. If you must use the platen knob to remove paper jams or to move the paper, be sure to turn the printer off first.

If necessary, the TOF can be reset back to the factory default by pressing the QUIET/TOF button with paper parked out of the printer, or by turning on the printer while holding the QUIET/TOF and PARK buttons.

!Your software may print the first line above or below the Top of Form setting. If this happens, you must reset

the Top of Form according to you software’s needs.
