To connect both an answering machine and a telephone:

1Connect your answering machine to your MFP.

2Plug your external telephone’s cord into the telephone jack

on your answering machine.

!Important: You must have the TAD mode feature turned

on for an answering machine to work with your MFP.

See “Setting the Answering Mode.”

Connecting to Your Computer

1Make sure that the computer is turned off and the

OKIOFFICE is unplugged.

2Connect the end of the interface cable to your computer.

Tighten the screws to secure it.

3Connect the other end of the cable to the OKIOFFICE.

Fasten the cable in place with the wire clips.

Connecting Power

1Plug the power cord into the back of the unit.

2Plug the other end into a grounded AC power outlet.

3Turn on the power switch.
