External ﬂash shooting

With this camera, you can use one of the separately sold external ﬂash units to achieve a ﬂash suited to your needs. The external ﬂashes communicate with the camera, allowing you to control the camera's ﬂash modes with various available ﬂash control modes, such as TTL-AUTO and Super FP ﬂash.

An external ﬂash unit speciﬁed for use with this camera can be mounted on the camera by attaching it to the camera's hot shoe. You can also attach the ﬂash to the ﬂash bracket on the camera using the bracket cable (optional). Refer to the documentation provided with the external ﬂash units as well.

Wireless remote control ﬂash photography

External ﬂash units that offer a remote control mode and are designated for use with this camera can be used for wireless ﬂash photography. The built-in ﬂash can control up to three ﬂash units independently. See the documentation provided with the external ﬂash units for details.

Wireless ﬂash control range

Position the wireless ﬂash units with their remote sensors facing the camera. The following illustration shows the approximate ranges at which the ﬂash units can be positioned. The actual control range varies with local conditions.
