*1 About playing copy-controlled CDs Some copy-controlled CDs may not con- form to official CD standards. They are special discs and may not play on the DV-S155X.

*2 The DV-S155X supports CD-R and CD-RW discs recorded in Video CD for- mat, audio CD format, or ISO9660 Level 2 format with MP3, WMA and JPEG files. It also supports DVD-R and DVD-RW discs recorded in DVD-Video format. However, some CD-R/RW and DVD-R/RW discs may not work properly for any of the following reasons: incom- plete disc finalization, disc burner charac- teristics, disc characteristics, the disc is damaged or dirty. See the manual sup- plied with your disc burner for more

information. Condensation or dirt on the optical pickup lens can also affect play- back.

Non-playable discs

You cannot play back discs other than those listed above.

You cannot play discs such as Super Audio CD, DVD-Audio, DVD-ROM, DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM, Photo CD, CD-G etc., even if the marks in the above table are labeled on those discs.

The DV-S155X uses the PAL/NTSC color system, and cannot play back DVD videos recorded in any other color system (SECAM, etc.).

Avoid using heart-shaped or octagonal discs. Playing irregularly-shaped discs may damage the internal mechanism of the DV-S155X.

Do not use discs that have residue from adhesive tape, rental discs that have peeling labels, or discs that have custom labels or stickers. Otherwise, you may not be able to eject the discs, or the DV-S155X may become inoperative.
