INSTALLING THE REMOTE CONTROL’S BATTERIES
The remote control requires two AAA batteries (not supplied) for power. For the best performance and long- est life, we recommend alkaline batteries, such as RadioShack Cat. No.
Follow these steps to install batter- ies.
1.Press down and slide off the bat- tery compartment cover.
2.Install the batteries as indicated by the polarity symbols (+) and
8
(–)marked inside the compart- ment.
3.Replace the cover.
Cautions:
•If you are not going to use the remote control for a month or more, remove its batteries. Bat- teries can leak damaging chemi- cals.
•Do not mix old and new batter- ies, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or recharge- able), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
Note: If the remote control operates erratically or does not work at all, re- place both batteries.
CONNECTING TO
POWER
After you complete all connections, plug the music system’s supplied power cord into a standard AC outlet.
Warning: To prevent electric shock, the power cord plug’s blades are po- larized (one blade is wider than the other) and fit a polarized AC outlet only one way. If you have difficulty in- serting the plug, do not force it. Turn it over and reinsert it.
