Standard Fingering
The standard fingering method uses standard form ations of three or four not es, and
lets the experienced musician play a wider variety of acco mpaniment chords. You
can play these 15 chord types on your MD-1200, in any k ey, using the s tandard fin-
gering method.
Notes:
To produce a simple variation of a 7, m7, M7, mM7, add9, or madd9 chord, you
can omit the finger positions shown in parenthes es (on the keys).
When producing an aug, 7-5, or dim7 chord, the lowest note you play determines
the root of the chord. Be sure that your fingering cor rectly defines the root yo u
want.
The diagrams above show only one po ssib le fi ngeri ng po sitio n for e ach ch ord. It
is possible to play a chord using several different positions. F or example, these
three fingering positions produce the same C chord.
