To keep the preset stations stored in memory, turn the radio off before removing batteries and replace the batteries within 45 seconds.

Cautions:

Never leave dead or weak batteries in the SCP-85.

If you do not plan to use the SCP-85 for a month or more, remove the batteries.

Dispose of batteries properly; do not bury or burn them.

Important: Your SCP-85 is capable of using recharge- able nickel-cadmium batteries. At the end of the batteries’ useful life, they must be recycled or disposed of properly. Contact your local, county, or state hazardous waste management authorities for information on recycling or disposal programs in your area. Some options that might be available are: municipal curbside collection, drop-off boxes at retailers such as your local RadioShack store, recycling collection centers, and mail-back programs.

USING HEADPHONES OR SPEAKERS
