With the speakers placed in the selected locations, route the speaker wire from each speaker to the receiver/amplifier.

Use 18-gauge speaker wire (not sup- plied) for distances up to 25 feet. For greater distances, use 16-gauge wire (not supplied).

Note: For maximum bass response and the best overall performance, connect your speaker so it is in phase (positive to positive, and negative to negative; same color to same color).

Follow these steps to connect the speakers to your receiver/amplifier.

1.Separate the wire’s two conductors at both ends for a length of about 2 inches.

2.Strip the insulator from the ends of each conductor to expose 1/2-inch of metal wire and twist the loose strands.

3.Press the right speaker’s red (posi- tive) terminal tab and insert one of the wire ends. Then release the tab.

4.Press the right speaker’s black (neg- ative) terminal tab and insert one of the wire ends. Then release the tab.

5.Connect the wire from the speaker’s red (positive) terminal to the receiv- er/amplifier’s right positive terminal.

Then connect the wire from the speaker’s black (negative) terminal to the receiver/amplifier’s right neg- ative terminal.

6.Repeat these steps for the left speaker.
