I can’t tell if data services are availab le
• The following icons indicate data services:
You are in a coverage area where data services are available, but it
does not indicate whether you are connected to a da ta n etwork. T his
icon appears in the Main view of the Phone application (near th e top
of the screen).
Wireless Mode is on but you are not connected to any data network.
You are connected to a data network. W he n the arrows a re gray, you
are in standby mode and you can receive calls. Whe n the arrows are
green, a data session is active (for example, when you are browsing
the web) and you cannot receive calls.
Wireless Mode seems to turn off by itselfIf a system error and reset occurs, Treo automatically turns on Wireless Mode if it was
on before the reset. However, if Treo can’t determine whether Wireless Mode was on
before the reset, it does not turn on automatically and you must manually turn on
Wireless Mode (see page13).
Treo won’t connect to the InternetYour Treo supports high speed (Mobile IP) data services. To connect to the Internet,
you must subscribe to and activate data services with Verizon.
• Press and hold the Wireless Mode button to turn off Wireless Mode. Then,
press and hold the same button t o turn it back on again.
• Make sure the Data Services icon appears in the Main view of the Phone
application (near the top of the screen). If you do not see this icon, data services
are not available in your current location and you cannot connect to the Internet.
• Perform a soft reset (see page 141).
