Suppose that while you are watching one TV programme you decide
that you want to play a previously recorded programme, or set the
unit to record a future broadcast. Simply press the Viera Link button,
and the TV menu screen automatically switches to the Viera Link
menu screen. After selecting the DVD recorder on the menu screen,
you can set timer recordings or use playback functions on the fly.

You Can Control Your Home Cinema with the Viera Remote Control1

When the TV is on, the Viera Link function lets you switch to home
cinema mode using just the Viera remote control unit. Simply press
the Viera Link button on the Viera remote and select "Home Cinema"
on the Viera Link Menu screen. The home cinema system's menu will
be displayed on the TV screen, and you can begin playing a DVD disc
or select from the DVD disc menu.

What's AVCHD?

AVCHD is a standard developed jointly by Panasonic and
Sony for HD camcorder. Using highly efficient codec technologies, it records
1080i high-definition signals onto media such as 8-cm DVD discs and
SD or SDHC Memory Cards. AVCHD allows an HD camcorder to make
long-time recordings of high-density video information onto a DVD disc or
SD/SDHC Memory Card.
