zYou will need the serial number when you reinstall B’s Recorder/B’s CLiP using Product Recovery
BRead the LIMITED USE LICENSE AGREEMENT before breaking the seal on the computer’s packaging (Î page 24).

1 Insert the battery pack.
APress and hold the mark part (A), and slide and remove the cover.
BInsert the battery pack (B) until it securely fits the connector.
CSlide the cover back.
To remove the battery pack
In step B above, slide and hold the latch (C), and pull the tab (D) of the battery pack.
CAUTION
zBe careful not to catch the tab when you close the cover.
zMake sure the cover is securely attached. Otherwise the battery pack may fall when you carry the computer.
zDo not touch the terminals of the battery pack and the computer. Doing so can make the terminals dirty or damaged, and may cause malfunction of the battery pack and the computer.
zUse only the specified battery pack
zThe computer’s processing speed will become slower when the computer oper- ates by the second battery pack.
2 Connect your computer to a power outlet.
The battery charging starts automatically.
CAUTION
zDo not disconnect the AC adaptor until the
zWhen using the computer for the first time, do not connect any peripheral device except the battery pack and AC adaptor.
zHandling the AC adaptor
•Do not twist or pull the AC power cord forcefully. Doing so may damage the connections.
•Use only the specified AC adaptor with your computer. Using an AC adaptor other than the one supplied might damage the battery and/or the computer.
•When the DC plug is not connected to the computer, disconnect the AC cord from your AC wall outlet.
•Problems such as sudden voltage drops may arise during periods of thunder and lightning. Since this could adversely affect your computer, an uninterruptible power source (UPS) is highly recommended unless running from the battery pack alone.
