Text Messages

Setting Recipient Group

1From Idle F Q, select Messages >Parameters > Recipient Group F Q

To enter a new name, F Q select Select and enter the name of the recipient from a name stored in one of the phone books, See Retrieve a Number page 15. F Q twice, select OK from the pop up menu F

Auto Delete

When set, will erase messages automatically:

Received Read - will overwrite the oldest read message.

Received Any - will overwrite the oldest message, even though it may not have been read.

Lifetime

This is the duration that your message is stored at the Message Centre. Delivery attempts will be repeated until the message has been delivered or the Lifetime expires.

Message Centre

Allows the Message Centre phone number to be edited - see “Setting the Phone for Short Text Messages” page 37.

Report

When your message has been delivered a confirmation will be received if Report is set to Yes.

Protocol

The Message Centre may be able to convert the message to the format specified by the selected protocol.
