White spots or shadow images (noise)

●● Check the position, direction, and connection of the aerial.

There may be red, blue, green and black spots on the screen

●● This is a characteristic of liquid crystal panels and is not a problem. The liquid crystal panel is built with very high precision technology giving you fine picture details. Occasionally, a few non-active pixels may appear on the screen as a fixed point of red, green, blue or black. Please note this does not affect the performance of the panel.

No sound is produced

●● Is “Sound mute” active? Press MUTE to switch sound mute on or off. ●● Is the volume set to the minimum?

●● Check connections and setting of external equipment.

Watching > External equipment

●● Ensure that Speaker Selection is set to TV.

Functions > VIERA Link “HDAVI Control™” > Speaker Selection

●● Ensure that TV Speaker is set to On.

Watching > For best audio > Volume settings

Sound level is low or sound is distorted

●● Sound signal reception may be poor.

●● Set MPX in the Sound Menu to Mono.
