Use only the accessories detailed in the operating instructions. The use of attachments or accessories other than those recommended here could lead to you suffering an injury.

Before first use

Fitting the helical spring

Insert the narrower end of the helical spring 3 into the opening of the multifunctional holder 7 . Ensure that the outwardly bent end of the helix points upwards and insert it into the recess provid- ed for it in the multifunctional holder 7 (see arrow in Fig. B).

Push the helical spring

into the opening as far as it will go.

Inserting / replacing soldering tips

CAUTION! DANGER OF BURNS! Allow the soldering pencil to heat up without a soldering tip.

Removal of a soldering tip 2 or a copper attachment 9 10 11 may only be done when the appliance has been switched off and the soldering tip or attachment has cooled down.

All soldering tips and attachments have a screw thread and can, therefore, be easily and quickly replaced on the soldering pencil 1 . Turn the soldering tip or attachment anti-clockwise to remove it. Turn the soldering tip or attachment clockwise to fix it in place.
