2.0 Choose a configuration method and log in
There are three methods to configure the Model 2160: serial console, Telnet and Web Browser. You must choose one method to configure the Model 2160.
2.1 Web configuration
Make sure that an Ethernet Adapter has been installed in the PC or NB you will use to configure the modem. TCP/IP protocol is necessary for web configuration, so check if the TCP/IP protocol has been installed.
The Model 2160 provides a browser interface that allows you to configure and manage the Model 2160. After you set up the IP address for the Model 2160, you can access the Web interface applications directly in your browser by entering the IP address of the Model 2160. You can then use your Web browser to list and manage configuration parameters from a PC.
Web Configuration requires Internet Explorer 5.0 or later or Netscape Navigator 6.0 and later versions. The rec- ommended screen resolution is 1024 by 768 pixels.
