OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CAT. #2140C

Battery Installation

To install the batteries:

1.Remove the lens cover and pull out the lamp module.

2.Install two (2) AAA alkaline batteries-one with the positive end facing upward, the other with the positive end facing downward.

3.Insert the lamp module by lining up the slot on the module side with the rib inside the body, then slide the module into the flashlight.

4.Replace the lens cover.

Turn On/Off

1.To turn ON: turn lens cover clockwise until lamp lights.

2.To turn OFF: turn lens cover counter clockwise until lamp turns off, then continue to turn at least one full turn.

Lamp Replacement

To replace the lamp module:

1.Remove the lens cover and pull out the burnt-out lamp module.

2.Insert the new lamp module by lining up the slot in the module with the rib inside the body, then slide the module into the flashlight.

3.Replace the lens cover.

Hydrogen Gas Absorber Pellets

Located inside the flashlight are catalyst pellets which are present to absorb hydrogen gas that could possibly be emitted by defective, leaking, reversed polarity or heavily discharged batteries.

If the pellets become wet, let them air dry. Pelican Products assumes no liability for any brand batteries which are defective or cause injury to anyone when used in any Pelican flashlight.

O-Ring Maintenance

The TrackerTM flashlight uses an o-ring seal to pre- vent water from entering the battery compartment. It is a good idea to occasionally lightly grease the o-ring with a silicone lubricant to prevent leakage.

Alkaline Batteries

1.Hazardous location safety approvals for explosive environments are only valid for the specified cell type manufacturer and, where applicable, brand names that are displayed on the flashlight and/or instructions sheets that are supplied with the light.

2.The use of other battery technologies may reduce the performance of the the flashlight. Always read the battery manufacturers recommendations for the appropriate use of the battery technology/brand prior to using them in the flashlight.

3.When replacing the batteries:

a.Replace all the batteries at the same time.

b.Do not mix battery brands and old and new batteries.

c.Always insert batteries correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -) marked on the battery and equipment.

4.Do not change batteries in a hazardous location.

5.Remove batteries from equipment if it is not to be used for an extended period of time.

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO

Instalación de pilas

Para instalar las pilas:

1.Retire la tapa de el lente y quite el módulo de la bombilla.

2.Instale dos (2) pilas alcalinas tipo AAA, una con el polo positivo hacia arriba, la otra con el polo positivo hacia abajo.

3.Inserte el módulo de la bombilla alineando la ranura ubicada a un costado del módulo con el reborde del cuerpo de la linterna, y luego deslice el módulo dentro de la linterna.

4.Vuelva a colocar la tapa de el lente.

Encendido/apagado

1.Para encender: Gire la tapa de el lente en sentido horario hasta que se encienda la bombilla.

2.Para apagar: Gire la tapa de el lente en sentido contra horario hasta que se apague la bombilla y luego continúe girando por lo menos una vuelta completa.

Reemplazo de la bombilla

Para reemplazar el módulo de bombilla:

1.Retire la tapa de el lente y quite el módulo de bombilla quemado.

2.Inserte el nuevo módulo de bombilla, alineando la ranura ubicada a un costado del módulo con el reborde del cuerpo de la linterna, y luego deslice el módulo dentro de la linterna.

3.Vuelva a colocar la tapa de el lente.

Mantenimiento de la junta tórica

La linterna TrackerTM utiliza una junta tórica de sellado para impedir que entre agua en el compartimento de las pilas. Es conveniente engrasar la junta levemente con un lubricante de silicona para impedir la filtración de agua.

ATENCION

Si no se piensa utilizar la linterna durante algún tiempo, quite las pilas para impedir cualquier fuga o corrosión.
