4 Installing the Card Reader-C1

Work Checks/remarks

1)Make the following selections in service mode:

COPIER>FUNCTION>INSTALL>CARD;

then, enter the card number (1 through 2701).

•Enter the number of the card (of all the cards used by the user) that have the lowest number.

•As many as 300 cards may be used hav- ing a number higher than the one en-

tered.

2)Turn off the main power switch.

3)To facilitate the removal of the right rear cover, remove the screws [1] from the rear cover.

4)Open the manual feed tray and the right lower cover.

5)Remove the five screws [1] ; and, while opening the right rear cover [2] slightly, detach the right rear cover.
