5.2.3 Removing the Scanner Drive Cable

When replacing the cable, be

sure to obtain the following:

• Mirror positioning tool

(FY9-3009)

1) Remove the reader upper frame. (p. 3-

14R)

2) Remove the two cable fixing screws [2]

of the No. 1 mirror base [1].

3) Remove the spring [3] used to secure

the cable in place.

4) Remove the cable fixing plate [4], and

free the cable [5] from the pulleys.
