1.5 Controlling the Deck Motor

1.5.1 Controlling the Deck Main Motor (M1D)

The deck main motor (M1D) is a stepping motor, and is controlled by the DC controller of the host machine. The following figure shows the circuit used to drive the deck main mo- tor, and the circuit has the following function:

[1] Turning on/off the deck main motor

a. Turning On/Off the Motor

The outputs FEED_M_A, FEED_M_A*, FEED_M_B, and FEED_M_B* are controlled using serial signals from the host machine to turn on/off the deck main motor and switch its speed of rotation.
