In order to avoid the deterioration in image quality from internal reflection, use of the lens hood is recommended.

a.Screw-on Type (DA 70mm f/2.4 Limited dedicated lens hood)
Screw the hood on to the front of the lens to attach it. The hood is telescopic. Extend it fully to use it.

The lens hood cannot be mounted on some circular polarizing filters that are not produced by PENTAX, depending on the type.
