4Setting the Functions (Program Mode)
Pictures Taking
In A (Program mode), the camera automatically sets the shutter speed and aperture for taking still pictures. However, you can select other functions such as the flash or Continuous Shooting mode.
1 Set the mode dial to A.
2 Set the functions you want to use.
Refer to “Setting the Shooting Functions” (p.81 to p.103) for details of how to set the functions.
3 Press the shutter release button halfway.
The focus frame on the LCD monitor will light green when the camera is in focus.
4 Press the shutter release button.
The picture is taken.
If the USER mode has been set to P, the Program Mode Setting screen will appear by setting the mode dial to USER.
