Setting the Light Metering Mode to Determine the Exposure

You can select which part of the screen to use to measure the brightness and determine the exposure.

AE Metering Modes

L Multi-segment The exposure is determined by the entire screen.

MCenter-weighted The exposure is determined mainly by the center of the screen.

N	Spot	The exposure is determined by the small area in the center
		of the screen only.

1	Press the MENU button in Capture mode.
2	The [A Rec.Mode] menu appears.	Rec. Mode
	Use the four-way controller (23)
		Recorded Pixels	10M
	to select [AE Metering].	Quality Level
3		White Balance	AWB
	Press the four-way controller (5).	AF Setting
		AE Metering
	The pull-down menu appears.	Sensitivity	AUTO 800
