The camera returns to capture status with the current setting.

In Y, Cand N mode, [Focusing Area] can only be set to J (Multiple) or K(Spot).

In 5, I, >and zmode, [Focusing Area] is set to J (Multiple).

If you use the [Focusing Area] function frequently, you can save time by assigning it to the Green button. (p.58)

Setting the Focus LimiterYou can limit the lens focusing range according to the conditions.

Set the [Focus Limiter] to O(On) to limit the focus to far distances from normal range during normal shooting and to close distances during macro shooting. This enables faster focusing.

1 Press the 3 button in Amode.

The [A Rec.Mode] menu appears.

2 Use the four-way controller (23) to select [AF Setting]. 3 Press the four-way controller (5).

The AF Setting screen appears.

4 Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Focus Limiter].
