AMPLIFIER SETUP AND BASS MANAGEMENT

Many home theater receivers/processors have a feature that controls how the bass is processed and delivered to the subwoofer. It also adjusts the amount of bass that is sent to your satellite speakers. Look carefully in your amplifier or receiver’s instruction manual for details on how to adjust for the speaker size (sometimes called “Speaker Setup”) for your system.

When using a Dolby® Digital or DTS™-capable receiver/processor with the subwoofer connected to the subwoofer out on your amplifier turn the “LOW-PASS FREQUENCY” control to the highest setting (200 Hz) on the back of your subwoofer. Set the subwoofer crossover setting in the speaker setup section of the amplifier setup menu to 150 HZ (or the next highest setting) and set the Satellites and Center channels to “small”.

If you are NOT using the receiver’s internal processor for subwoofer control then turn the “CROSSOVER FREQUENCY” control on the subwoofer to the 3 o’clock (150 Hz) setting.

Phase Technology is renowned for its commitment to innovation and excellence in audio technology, and its HV Series, including the HV81, HV101, and HV121 models, exemplifies this dedication. These speakers are engineered to deliver exceptional sound quality, combining advanced technologies with practical features tailored for both audiophiles and casual listeners.

The HV81 is a compact yet powerful speaker designed to provide a seamless listening experience. Its unique design allows it to blend effortlessly into various environments, making it an ideal choice for both home theater systems and music enjoyment. One of its standout features is its high-efficiency driver design, which enables the HV81 to produce a rich, full-bodied sound despite its smaller size. The speaker is equipped with a proprietary phase plug that enhances high-frequency performance, ensuring clarity and detail across the audio spectrum.

Moving up in the lineup, the HV101 offers a slight increase in power and efficiency, making it perfect for larger spaces or dedicated listening rooms. This model features advanced acoustic tuning that minimizes distortion and optimizes sound dispersion. Coupled with a robust cabinet construction, the HV101 ensures that every note is reproduced with precision. Notably, the speaker incorporates a built-in high-performance crossover that helps to create a balanced soundstage, allowing users to experience music and movie soundtracks as the artists intended.

At the top of the HV Series is the HV121, a floor-standing speaker that embodies Phase Technology’s philosophy of combining aesthetics with performance. The HV121 is designed to reproduce deep bass response through its dual 12-inch woofers while maintaining a pristine high-frequency reproduction through a precision-tuned tweeter. This model is particularly notable for its innovative bass reflex design that enhances low-frequency output without sacrificing clarity. The HV121’s striking finish and elegant design make it an attractive centerpiece for any home audio setup.

All three models in the HV Series share common characteristics such as easy integration with existing audio systems, user-friendly connectivity options, and a durable construction that ensures longevity. Moreover, the advanced materials used in the driver construction contribute to the overall sound fidelity and durability of the speakers. With the HV Series, Phase Technology continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in speaker design, ensuring exceptional performance and versatility for any listening environment.
